DMV, voter registration and state tax agency links by state
Each link was opened and checked on 2026-10-07, except one: Alaska's motor vehicle link is listed by USAGov; not checked by us. Motor vehicle links come from USAGov's list of state motor vehicle services; the three on non-.gov sites are marked as linked from USAGov's directory; voter links are the state election pages that vote.gov points to; tax links are the state tax agencies the IRS lists on its state pages. Pages move; if a link fails, use USAGov's lists or vote.gov.
Each state sets its own rules and deadlines for driver's licenses, vehicles, voter registration and taxes. We don't restate them; these pages do.
Not legal or tax advice. You can do every official step yourself, directly with USPS, the IRS, Social Security, vote.gov and your state's offices. The IRS, Social Security and vote.gov pages list no fee for updating your address or registering to vote, and the Post Office's Mover's Guide packet is free. This kit is a paid planning convenience, not a requirement; you don't need it to move.
Instant download. 14-day no-questions refund. Edition 1.0, dated 2026-10-07. For a move between any two U.S. states or DC; each state's own rules you read on its own pages.
